Antique Edwardian diamond ring. A scintillating, well-cut old European cut diamond is held aloft by four corner prongs engraved with a softly worn braided motif. The elegant basket is decorated with a swag wrapping  around each prong, from profile to shoulder, trimmed in milgrain and set with two dainty single cut diamonds each. Each shoulder is marked by a single cut diamond at the juncture of the prong swags, set in a triangular frame of delicately worn milgrain. The triangular motif completes the engraved braid motif that embellishes the shank, except at the back, which is smooth and tapered. An majestically detailed and romantic antique ring. The center diamond is approximately .54 carats, I color, VS2 clarity, eye clean. There is a small chip to the girdle, not visible to the naked eye. The side diamonds total approx. .14 carats additional. The inside of the shank has a partial stamp for 10 IRID/90PLAT for platinum, and tests as such. Circa 1910s. The ring is in good vintage condition, with some slight overall wear, commensurate with age.

This ring is currently a US size 6 1/2, but can be resized by your local jeweler.

*Antique ring box not included. For display purposes only.
