Art Deco 1.18 CTW Princess Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring. A dazzling cut-cornered princess cut diamond is held by four corner prongs, atop a subtly flared basket accented by a stylized geometric chainlink motif on two sides. A stylish knife-edge shank rises up to meet the basket, and is detailed on the shoulders by six graduated single cut diamonds each side, framed in milgrain and arranged in two rows of three that taper to a point where they meet the shank. The princess cut diamond is a later addition to the ring, as the princess cut was invented in the 1980s. The modern princess cut complements the streamlined Art Deco setting quite well. An elegant and crisply tailored Art Deco ring with a unique twist. The center diamond is 1.06 carats, J to K color, VVS1 clarity, eye clean, inscribed with a GIA number and with a GIA report. The side diamonds total approx .12 carats additional. No hallmarks, but tests as platinum. Setting circa 1930s. This ring is in good vintage condition.
This ring is currently a US size 7, but can easily be resized by your local jeweler.
