Art Deco 1.01 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Navette Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond and emerald ring. A glittering transitional cut diamond and two old European cut diamonds in an almond shaped frame are surrounded by a halo of calibre cut emeralds outlined in delicate milgrain. Surrounding the halo is a network of overlapping and interwoven "ribbons" studded with a mix of dainty old European cut and single cit diamonds and edged in milgrain. Continuing the interwoven theme, the shoulders are engraved on three sides with a braid motif. The back of the shank is smooth and unengraved to allow for resizing. A beautifully detailed and dimensional ring. The center diamond is approx. .25 carats, M color, SI2 clarity, eye clean. The additional diamonds total another .76 carats approx. Due to the irregular shape, it's difficult to estimate the weight of the emeralds. Circa 1930s. Illegible hallmark. Tests as platinum. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some slight wear to the milgrain and engraving commensurate with age.
