Art Deco 2.48 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond ring. A stunning old European cut diamond in a four-pronged setting is perched atop two concentric and stepped oval-shaped cartouches that curl towards the underside like the capital of an ionic column, and set with a plethora of glittering single cut diamonds. The oval cartouches are bisected by a horizontal ribbon motif that wraps around to meet the bifurcated, diamond-studded shoulders. The airy profile is composed of a series of elegant lancet arches. The shank is smooth and subtly molded. A regal ring with a subtle neoclassical style. We estimate the center stone at 2.10 carats, M color, SI2 clarity, eye clean, beautifully cut. The side diamonds total an additional .38 carats. No hallmarks, but tests as platinum. Circa 1920s. This ring is in good vintage condition, with only some overall wear commensurate with age.
This ring is currently a US size 7 3/4, but can be resized by your local jeweler.
