Art Deco .96 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Statement or Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond and emerald engagement ring in platinum. A glittering old European cut diamond is held by eight platinum prongs in an octagonal milgrained frame, flanked either side by a row of calibre cut emeralds, bisecting a dazzling arrangement of saw-pierced fleur de lis and leaf motifs accented with milgrain and bead-set full cut, single cut, and rose cut diamonds. The domed and tapering shank is engraved all around with a lovely foliate vine motif that bifurcates at the shoulders. The undercarriage is simple. A truly unique design with a hint of whimsy and a splash of vivid color. The center diamond is appr. .20 carats, H color, I1 clarity, and the side diamonds total approximately .76 carats additional. The emeralds total approx. .04 carats. Stamped PLATINUM, and tests as such. Circa 1930s. This ring is in very good vintage condition, with only minor wear commensurate with age.
