Art Deco .66 Carat Old European Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Art Deco diamond engagement ring in in white gold. A beautifully cut old European cut diamond in a bezel setting floats at the pinnacle of a richly detailed open-work domed shank. A set of four trefoil motifs frames the center diamond. A graceful fleur de lis motif with engraved touches in a cutout oval frame and engraved geometric foliate motifs in a rhomboid frame adorn each shoulder, whilst elegant cutout scrollwork accents the profile. The back of the shank is smooth and unembellished. A magnificently detailed and substantial ring with hints of airiness. The center diamond is approx. .66 carats, K color, VS2 clarity, eye clean. Circa 1920s. Stamped 14K, and tests as as such. This ring is in very good vintage condition, with some overall wear commensurate with age.
This ring is currently a US size 6, and should not be resized more than one size at most due to the detailed construction.
