Art Deco .73 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring. A beautifully cut Old European cut diamond, held by four platinum corner prongs, is flanked by two smaller old European cut diamonds embraced by criss-crossing platinum shoulders decorated with a worn rope-twist engraving. The basket flares out at the base, and features four square fenestrations to allow light to pass through. The shank at the back has been replaced at some point with a white gold shank, though the color matches well, and there's no visible seam. A streamlined and stylish Art Deco ring. The center diamond is approx. .63 carats, H color, SI1 clarity, eye clean. The side diamonds total approx. .10 carats additional. No hallmarks, but tests as platinum and 10K gold. Circa 1920s. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some overall wear to the engraving, commensurate with age.
This piece is currently a US size 6 1/4, but can be resized by your local jeweler.
