Art Deco .35 Carat Old European Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring. A twinkling old European cut diamond is prong-set in a hexagonal frame, surrounded by an openwork gallery, accented by scrolls top and bottom, like an ionic column, and tapering at the shoulders, where it is embellished with floral and foliate motifs. The shank features additional engraving and openwork, but is plain at the back to allow for resizing. A romantic yet tailored ring with a unique flair. The center diamond is approximately .35 carats, I to J color, I1 clarity, eye clean. Circa 1920s. No hallmarks, but tests as 18K gold. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some solder marks at the back of the shank from a previous resizing.
This ring is currently a US size 8 3/4, but can be resized one size up or down by your local jeweler.
