Vintage Art Deco diamond ring in platinum. A stunning old European cut diamond in an octagonal setting is flanked on either side by tapering shoulders, set with a dainty single cut diamond each, trimmed in milgrain, and the shank is richly engraved with timeworn Art Deco motifs. The profile features lovely dimensional bow motifs. A richly detailed ring with a romantic aesthetic. The center diamond is approximately .48 carats, I color, SI2 clarity, eye clean, and the two single cut diamonds total approx. .05 carats additional. Maker's mark for Morris Kaplan & Sons of New York, NY, founded 1922. Stamped 10%IRID PLATINUM, and tests as PLATINUM. Circa 1930s. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some overall wear to the engraving, commensurate with age.
