Art Deco .71 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring in platinum. A dazzling old European cut diamond is prong-set in a hexagonal frame, surrounded by an octagonal halo composed of eight square frames, set with a single cut diamond each. The shoulders are set with three tiny diamonds each, in a motif like the twisted ends of a cord, a continuation of the rope twist engraving on the shank. The profile is elaborately decorated with interlocking circles and curling leafy vines. The back of the shank is unengraved to allow for resizing. A unique and highly detailed ring. The center diamond is approximately .52 carats, I color, VS1 clarity, eye clean. The side diamonds total approx. .19 carats additional. Circa 1920s. Stamped PLATINUM, and tests as such. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some overall wear to the engraving, commensurate with age.
This ring is currently a US size 9 3/4, but can be resized one or two sizes up or down by your local jeweler.
