Art Deco .50 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
Vintage 1920s Art Deco diamond engagement ring in white gold. A spectacular old European cut diamond is held by six prongs within a hexagonal frame within a rectangular cartouche with a single cut diamond at each corner. The stepped shoulders are each topped with a heart set with an additional single cut diamond. A double notch and a worn braided motif marks the beginning of the tapered shank. The profile features an openwork gallery of scroll motifs and dainty milgrain, a bit worn with age. A stylish and ethereal Deco ring with lovely character. The center diamond is approx. .38 carats, H color, VS1 clarity, eye clean, with a wonderful brilliance. The side diamonds total approx. .12 carats additional. Stamped 18KT for 18K gold, and tests as such. Circa 1920s. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some small imperfections commensurate with age.
