Art Deco .35 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring. A glittering old European cut diamond, held in a bezel setting, is surrounded by a horizontal openwork halo of an intricate interlocking design, trimmed in milgrain, and set with twelve tiny rose cut diamonds. The elegant shoulders echo the interlocking design, also trimmed in milgrain and set with two additional rose cut diamonds. The shank is smooth and flat, and the gallery is low and streamlined, following the scalloped shape of the halo. A delicately detailed ring. The center diamond is approx. .28 carats, J color, I1 clarity, eye clean. The additional side diamonds total an estimated .07 carats. No hallmarks, but tests as platinum. Circa 1930s. This ring is in good vintage condition.
