Art Deco 0.69 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring. A scintillating old European cut diamond held by four fishtail prongs, is framed on either side by three petal-shaped motifs, which fan out from the shank to embrace the center diamond, reminiscent of a lily or tulip. Each petal motif is trimmed in milgrain and set with a single cut diamond. The center diamond is further highlighted above and below by two milgrained semi-circular motifs set with a single cut diamond each. At the point where the petal motifs meet the shank, they are joined by another single cut diamond set within a shield-shaped frame. The shank is sturdy and squared. The profile of the ring is minimal, following the shape of the face. The center setting is low-set. A regal and romantic vintage engagement ring. The center diamond is approx. .55 carats, H color, VS2 clarity, eye clean. The additional side diamonds total an estimated .14 carats. Stamped as 14K for 14K white gold, and tests as 14K. Circa 1930s. This ring is in good vintage condition.
