Edwardian .79 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Antique Edwardian diamond ring in platinum. A very well-cut old European cut diamond is held by four corner prongs with delicately worn engraving. The slender shoulders, set with two dainty old European cut diamonds each, rise up gracefully to meet the center basket, atop a lovely openwork profile featuring milgrained scrolls, lines, and foliate motifs, slightly timeworn here and there. The shoulders transition seamlessly into a smooth, tapered shank, following the lines of a tapered, milgrained lozenge accented with faux granulation. A romantic and ethereal ring. The center diamond is approx. .67 carats, H color, faces up white, SI1 clarity, eye clean. The side diamonds total approx. .12 carats additional. No hallmarks, but tests as platinum. Circa 1910s. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some wear to the profile commensurate with age.
This ring is currently a US size 6 1/2, and can be resized up to one full size by your local jeweler.
*Antique ring box not included. For display purposes only.
