Vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring. A scintillating old European cut diamond is held in a six-pronged setting, Elegantly sloped shoulders rise up to meet the face, each studded with three dainty single cut diamonds. The crown style basket features a simple latticework design. A classic and elegantly proportioned ring. The center diamond weighs approximately .57 carats, J to K color, VS2 to SI1 clarity, eye clean, with a pleasing sparkle. Side diamonds total approx. .06 carats additional. Swedish hallmarks for Stockholm, 1937, platinum, with a maker's mark for C. G. Hallberg, a jeweler to the Swedish royal court and a prestigious Scandinavian jeweler of the early 20th century. Tests as platinum. This ring is in good vintage condition, with some small chips to the center diamond at the girdle, not visible to the naked eye.
