Art Nouveau 1.78 CTW Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond Three Stone Statement or Engagement Ring
Antique Art Nouveau diamond engagement ring. A gorgeous old mine cushion cut diamond in an eight-prong setting floats at the center of two graceful silver-topped S-curve arms studded with a mix of glittering rose cut, single, and double cut diamonds, and each balancing an old mine cut diamond in a six-prong setting at its terminus. The gold shank has simple fluted design. This ring, with its wonderful mix of irregular antique cut diamonds, slightly off-kilter shape, and somewhat rustic craftsmanship will delight someone who finds beauty in imperfection. The center diamond is approx. .90 carats, K to L color, SI1 clarity, eye clean. The two smaller central diamonds weigh approx. .23 and .25 carats, and the remaining diamonds, a lovely mix of rose cuts, single cuts, and double cuts, total approx. .40 carats additional. Dutch hallmarks for vintage and antique items that have not been previously assayed indicate 18K gold and silver, and tests as such. Circa 1890s. This ring is in vintage condition, with some wear and possible repairs to the metal, and some small chips to the center diamond at the girdle, and to three of the side diamonds, none visible to the naked eye.
