Art Deco .99 CTW Old European Cut Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Vintage Art Deco diamond ring. A dazzling, well-cut old European cut diamond is held aloft in a subtly flared square basket by four corner prongs, suspended above milgrained shoulders that are set with two dainty single cut diamonds each. The basket is beautifully detailed with a lotus-like openwork motif on two sides, and engraved on all four sides with a braided motif. The shank is embellished on three sides with a lovely stylized floral and foliate engraving. An elegantly detailed and timeless classic ring. The center diamond is approximately .93 carats, J color, VS2 clarity, eye clean. The side diamonds total approx. .06 carats additional. The inside of the shank is stamped 90/10 IRID/PLAT for platinum, and tests as such. Circa 1930s. The ring is in very good vintage condition.
