Victorian 0.78 CTW Old Mine Cut Diamond Cluster Engagement Ring
Antique Victorian diamond halo engagement ring in 18K gold and black enamel. A chunky old mine cut diamond is surrounded by a halo of eight smaller old mine cut diamonds, each held in gold prong settings. The hourglass shoulders are topped with an alternating V design in in gold and black enamel. The basket is composed of an elegant lattice design, and features a rope motif around the base. A richly detailed ring, showcasing a bevy of delightful antique diamonds. The center old mine cut diamond is approx. .25 carats, K color, I1 clarity, eye clean, with eight more old mine cut diamonds totaling approx. .53 carats additional. One of the surrounding diamonds is chipped, which is not visible to the naked eye. No hallmarks, but the gold tests as 18K gold. Circa 1880s. This ring is in good vintage condition, with overall wear to the details and enameling commensurate with age.
